One of my friends recently had a baby girl, so I created this fun shaker card for her. I love the little foil accents, and the tiny clothes are so cute!! All supplies were personally purchased, and all opinions expressed are my own. Supplies:
First, I used my mini ink blending tool with the Worn Lipstick distress ink and MFT Mini Cloud Edges stencil to create the ethereal background on Bristol cardstock. Next, I glued 4 of the frame die cuts (Rose Petal cardstock) together using Ranger Multi Medium Matte and then glued the whole stack to the cloud card base. I used Be Creative tape to adhere a 5th frame to the acetate piece. I then stamped the clothesline from PTI's Hanging Out stamp set onto the acetate using Moonlight White pigment ink and set it aside to dry. Note: I stamped the clothesline on the INSIDE of the acetate so that I wouldn't have to worry about the ink rubbing off. Hint: If you mess up stamping on the acetate (it can be slippery!) just wipe off the ink using a microfiber cloth and try, try, try again! Now comes the REALLY fun part! It's time to add all the shaker elements! First I glued several of the shaker bits (Lucy's Jewels and the flowers) in various places around the card base so that everything doesn't fall to the bottom of the card when it stands up. Next, I sprinkled in all of different shaker elements. Then it was time to seal the card by adhering the acetate piece on top of the stacked frames card base using Be Creative tape. Finally, I used Be Creative tape and glue dots to adhere the baby clothes on top of the card. Sentiment Option: If you'd like to add a sentiment to the front of the card you could die cut a banner strip from vellum and heat emboss your sentiment in pink or gold. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Previously, I made a similar baby boy card using a lot of the same items. Supplies:
The base is patterned paper from an older Doodlebug Designs collection. I love the little pocket on the overalls! (It's from the PTI die set) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have one more baby card to share. I wanted to recreate this lovely card from MFT Design Team Member Melissa Phillips using supplies I had on hand. Be sure to check out Melissa's card and blog - she is SO creative and inspiring!! Hint: If you are looking for ideas to utilize supplies you already have, just do an image search on any item you are wanting to incorporate and you will find a endless supply of inspiration! Supplies:
The card base is from the Rose Petals cardstock pack, and the twine and aqua cardstock are from my scraps. I love how the clothespins are die cut from patterned paper that has the wood grain look! Inspiration is everywhere...choose a design and make something beautiful using supplies you already have!
